Ndi Uduma School Project
Every child deserves access to quality education. Yet, in Ndi Uduma Awoke, access to schools—particularly well-equipped ones—is still limited.
Community Secondary School in Ndi Uduma Awoke, Ohafia L.G.A, Abia State, Nigeria, is a mixed, junior secondary school that has recently expanded to include senior classes. However, the school currently lacks essential infrastructure. In the 2024 exams, students faced significant challenges, with rain leaking through the roof and flooding the hall, disrupting their exams.
Access to Shine’s first project is the construction of a school hall and Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at Ndi Uduma Awoke Community Secondary School. This new facility will create a secure, well-equipped environment for learning, exams, and community gatherings, serving as a lasting resource for students and the broader community.
Ms. Jane Ura, a lead trustee with deep ties to the area, is working closely with the community school committee to bring this vision to life.
